The hat.

Yep, we bought our precious angel, baby girl...A ONE YEAR OLD, a Guinness golfer's hat.

A couple days ago, we made our usual run to Target for some fun items such as diapers and cat litter, still making good use of all our great gift cards from Christmas. You Targeteers rock! Thanks!

Anyway, we happened to pass by the men's department hat section and goofed around a little trying on all sorts of hats. We plopped this one on Molly's head and she really liked it, wanting to keep it on her head and started to make a fuss when we took it off. Not a whiny fuss, just a "please, no...I really like it" whimper and those eyes get bluer when she is pleading with you.

We tried on several other ones, even the same style without the beer logo on it, but no...she would not let go. This hat was hers and that was that. We thought, "We'll buy it and she'll be bored with it before we get home.

Not so, she's worn it almost all the time she's been awake since we got home from the store. Go figure, she's already got her own style. Now, my question is this. When did she ever see anyone playing the trumpet? We came home and she went for a brass candlestick that she's never played with before and sat down in her hat and played the horn for a while. It was hilarious!!

'Tis a fine Irish tartan plaid in an ever so grand green 'n white.

Here she is playing on the floor in her hat. She would not take it off for the longest time.

Just home from Target, checking out some flashcards we got from the dollar bin. Too bad the hat wasn't in the dollar bin too.

I mean, seriously?? How cute is this kid? She knows just how to wear this thing, frontwards or backwards...it looks cool on her. I look like a dope in a hat.

To see her walking around in this hat is just too funny.
