I simply cannot get over just how many cool old weathered barns I see when we are driving around town. Yes, this is within the city limits of Knoxville. There are quaint pockets of country living all over west Knoxville. One day, I'd like to photograph all the barns I see...there would be many!

Now, alas, the one that pulled at our heartstrings to the point that we sneaked around the property on more than one occasion. It is just down the road from the beautiful areas above...and near some of the best schools in town. If the timing was anywhere close to being right, we would have made a move on this one. Too bad though, it's gone to some other lucky family. I would have loved to have seen the inside. The upgrades on this one were beyond phenomenal!!...gourmet kitchen appliances, woodwork and fixtures.

What a surprise to find a home with a two level storage and work "shed!" Front entrance for tools, mower...then up a hill and around back is a ground level entrance to the top room which is a gardening and artist studio. UM...can you say "WOW?"
It's been tough seeing homes like this one come and go off the market. Let's keep hoping we can find a gem like this when the time is right.

Those neighborhoods don't look real - they're like something on The Truman Show - are you sure you're not living in a TV show where you're the unknowing star of the show? Where's the litter, dirt, weeds and discarded furniture?
