The greatest form of flattery.

My little imitator.

I haven't been able to update the blog in a while, so Molly decided she would give it a try. Here she is at my desk, pretending to be typing on the laptop. I was at the big computer when I heard a tapping sound behind me. She was evidently imitating the sound of my typing. She was also calling out all the letters on the keyboard. Now, if you think my desk looks very neat and clean...it didn't take long to realize that with her around, you are just better off to leave nothing there for her to play with or draw on or wrinkle up or just lose altogether!

You just never know when a two year old is going to start imitating your every move or word...so watch what you say and do...because they sure are! The other day, I was actually trying to work out with my arm weights and then became aware of her searching for something in her toy box with near obsession. She was throwing her plastic squishy blocks all over looking for the long cylindrical ones...she grabbed two of them and came over to stand next to me. Then she said "UP AND DOWN, UP AND DOWN!" as she lifted her heavy weights up and down just like me. It was adorable, especially since she was standing to say "down" and squatting to say "up." It made me laugh, then she laughed and it became a tickle-fest and a game of chase.

She is nearly 27 pounds now, and solid as a rock. Picking her up is an arm strenghthening excercise unto itself. Toddlers are a great work-out regimen!
