The Easter Bunny brought Molly a sunflower growing kit in her basket. A couple days later, we opened it up and planted 5 little seeds, watered them, found a sunny spot in the window and watched them sprout soon afterwards. With excited delight, each morning, Molly would say, "Look, Mommy! They grew, my sunflowers grew!"We even took them along on our trip to Texas to make sure that they were cared for each day. I put them in a plastic cup and kept them in the cup holder in the car the entire way. We brought them into the hotels and at Grandma Pam's house too.
Pretty soon it was time to put them into a larger pot so they could have more room to grow. We also planted the rest of the seeds from the packet into another container. They've been thriving out on the patio in the bright sunlight. During a few thunderstorms and windy days, I brought them in. We've been keeping a close eye on these flowers, still anxiously awaiting the first blooms. It's been fun sharing this simple experience of growing a few flowers with Molly. Through her eyes, you can see the littlest miracles.
