Reading "Goodnight Moon"

One night, on the ship, Molly read "Goodnight Moon" to me. I had to break it down into sections since I can only load around 30 seconds at a time. It is precious to watch her reading, so to speak. I know that she has it memorized and is prompted by the illustrations in the book, but I still love to hear the inflections in her voice as she reads to me. Children are imitating us all the time, so I feel it's important to speak clearly and correctly and read with feeling so it makes more sense to them...it makes a huge difference.



In the great green room
there was a telephone
And a red balloon
And a picture of--
The cow jumping over the moon
and there were three little bears, sitting on chairs
and two little kittens and a pair of mittens
and a little toy house and a young mouse
and a comb and a brush and bowl full of mush
and a quiet old lady who was whispering "hush"
