Molly's Second Haircut

It's been three months since her last haircut. That stubborn baldspot on the back of her head is still a scrubby patch of short fuzzy curls trying to catch up to the longer hair. On the sides were unruly locks going this way and that. I had scheduled an appointment for myself and asked if we could piggy-back a quick cut for a 1 year old. They said it would be fine.

We sat Molly up on my lap and she started to curve inward to my chest as she sensed the approaching comb and scissors and strangers all around. Amongst the coos and oohs and ahhs of the ladies watching, it took all of 5 minutes as her cries escalated to louder and louder volumes of contempt for us. She then gave up and decreased to pitiful whimpers and catches of breath.

She does look better. At least the hair is out of her eyes.

Starting to get worried...

Full force crying!

In the car recovering from her ordeal. A nap soon followed.

I can't believe she's had two haircuts at just past 12 months old. Emma is 2 tomorrow and still hasn't had one.
She'll get there.

Poor little thing, she looks devastated!
