A few photos from our days while stuck at the hotel in Richmond during the snowstorm that hit as we were trying to get on the road to Knoxville. We left the four cats at the house, in the master bathroom over night after we had cleaned the empty house. Traveling back and forth from the hotel to the house was a bit slushy and slippery, so we knew that heading out for a long trip would be out of the question. On the day we knew we could leave, we went back to the house one last time to clean that horrid master bath, pack up the cats and finally get going.
You can't really tell from this photo, but the snow was falling very fast and was thick and heavy. It accumulated quickly.
Molly thought it was fun to stand on the windowsill.
She liked watching the snow falling down.
Walking around in my boots.
The sun is out and it's time to pack up and go.
What a clear, beautiful day...if we can get out of the neighborhood, the rest will be easy.
Playing in the cabinets that had been locked for so long.
Molly, checking out the house...hey, what's over here? No gate on the stairs?
I'm going to climb up these stairs before anyone sees me! And she nearly did!
Time to go, it's going to be a long drive.
