Austin is a no go.

After a lot of thought, discussion and the weighing of the pros and cons, we have reluctantly decided against the move to Austin. Samsung is a good company to work for, the offer they gave Dan was good, but not quite enough to justify the sacrifices we'd be making in other areas. You just know in your gut when something is right and ever since Dan got back from his interview in Austin last week, we just could not get excited about this. We kept asking each other, "What do you think?" All we could muster was an "I just don't know." Something just didn't seem right about it, so today, he called to thank them for the opportunity but would be declining the offer. We feel a little bit sad about it, but in the end, it feels like the right thing for now. We are going to take a break from the job search for a few months, but stay open to other opportunities that may come along. Maybe things turned out this way for a reason? We'll see.
