Our little pea pod is one year old today (as of 9:59 am Eastern) and it is hard to believe how quickly this time has flown by. She's changed so much from month to month, that in looking back at photos from just a few months back, she's hardly the same baby at all.
By the way, if I seem distracted in this writing....that's because I'm trying to watch her as she's crawling all over the room, breaking down little barricades I've put up to slow her down....! Not working! I'll have to make this quick....there she goes again!!
anyway....where was I? Oh, yeah, last week, we went to Target to pick up the car seat we've been looking at for a few months now. It's very nice and should serve well until she is about 5 years old or thereabouts. She's outgrown the carrier that goes with her stroller...so we feel she'll be much more comfortable when we are driving around.
Here she is with Tickle Toes Bear in her luscious car seat that looks like it could have been made by Lazy Boy.
Here she is at Target (in her small carrier seat...) trying to decide between Grover, Cookie Monster and Elmo.
We liked all three but could only pick one....of course, she picked Elmo. Seriously, does Elmo emit some sort of subliminal signal that mesmerizes babies and little kids to watch him? When he's on tv, she is completely hooked, zoned in and we do not exist for 5 to 10 minutes.

Here are a couple photos of her using the furniture to learn how to stand. She's learning fast and will be walking on her own soon.
Gotta go! She's on my lap and making this very hard, so we're signing off. For her birthday today, we're going to go to the Maymont Park just south of downtown near the river. It should be a nice day.
