Molly wobbles and she sometimes falls down...but she gets right back up again. No, we don't have a video of her falling down this time.
Here she is a few days ago, watching the end of Sesame Street. Yes, that is a coffee table in front of the fireplace...she kept trying to get into the metal and glass window. Yes, that is a blanket on the floor...the carpet is rough on her delicate skin. No, there is nothing on the coffee table for a reason...she knocks it all off. She has redecorated our living room in Fisher-Price and wall to wall baby toys. But what a cutie. She is decoration enough for us. Who cares what the house looks like? - for now.
Just tonight, she stood next to a table with two toys in her hands, not holding onto the table at all. When we clapped and cheered at this new monumental feat...she looked at us with complete and total glee. She smiled so big, laughed and made us laugh. We all caught the giggles as she sought our approval each time she raised her chubby arms and stood alone. She clapped and laughed and so did we. It was precious. Too bad the camera was upstairs at that time! It was a very important step toward walking!
For a few moments, we were able to put our worries and troubles on hold...all wrapped up in the happiness of watching our little girl learning how to stand on her own.
